PRODUCT FEATURE- RUBBER BELLOWS

Are you looking for a solution to overcome misalignment in a piping system, accommodate pipework movement, or absorb vibration from equipment in your pipeline? Well, in this video we’re talking about Rubber Bellows . Rubber bellows are designed to absorb vibration, compensate for pipework movement, and accommodate pipe misalignment. They are also known as flexible rubber joints. They are made from heat-resisting synthetic elastomers and moulded in a spherical shape which accommodates movement. You will commonly see these used in applications such as general water services, wastewater, and air. When installed, they will absorb movements in three directions: Axial – movement of elongation and compression along the centre line. Lateral – offset movement from the centre line Angular – offset bending about the centre line. Let’s take a look at some of the key specifications: The standard bellows we stock here at Waterworks are made from EPDM rubber. These are great for your general water, wastewater, and air applications. On request, we are also able to source bellows made from NBR rubber which are great for applications such as those including hydrocarbons. We stock the bellows in sizes 50 to 200mm with sizes smaller and larger available on request. There are two flange material options; sizes 50 to 100mm are available with 316 stainless steel flanges while 50 to 200mm are available with galvanised steel flanges. The flanges are made to the AS2129 Table E flange pattern. - The EPDM bellows are suitable for temperatures from -30°C to 120°C.  The maximum pressure rating for sizes 50 to 200mm is 1600 kPA or PN16.
