Providing you and your clients a source for high quality, unique moulding patterns, in quantities and species specific to the needs of your latest project is an ever-changing challenge we are prepared to meet. To do so, Koetter Woodworking has steadily added the most technologically advanced moulding machinery available to our line-up of eighteen moulders. Whereas a more traditional high-speed "jointed" moulder is designed for long production runs with minimal changeovers, this new generation of moulders (Weinig's Powermat series) is engineered to produce shorter moulding runs with many changeovers. This new technology has enabled us to achieve as many as 35 set-ups on a single machine per shift, compared to as few as the typical 2 - 6 set-ups per shift on our more traditional jointed machines. With cutter speeds as high as 12,000 rpm, our Powermat moulders have enabled us to enhance the finish quality of our mouldings while at the same time reducing the inherently higher costs of producing short runs of custom mouldings in a timely manner.
