PROGRESS NOTE PRACTICE | Blood sugars |RN |LPN
In this video, we are going to practice a progress note. Write your progress note based on the scenario I give you in the comments. In a following video, I will show the progress notes and talk about each of them. We are also responding to a request for tips on obtaining a large enough blood sugar sample. Help support our channel at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/nursewithbenomi THE SCENARIO: You are checking your diabetic patients' blood sugars before lunch. One of your patients doesn't look too good when you see her. She is sweaty and says she doesn't feel good. Her blood sugar is 50 when you check it. You give her some orange juice and peanut butter crackers and check it 15 minutes later. This time her blood sugar is 68. Now you call and let the doctor know what happened. He gives you an order to hold her routine 5 units of insulin. You make sure she gets her lunch tray first and encourage her to eat. After she eats, you check her sugar again and this time it is 86. NOW WRITE YOUR PROGRESS NOTE IN THE COMMENTS! I can't wait to read them!! What do you want to see next?!? Leave it in the comments below! Thanks for watching!
