This first episode introduces PBL and details its attributes . It also explains the difference between " Doing a Project " and " Project Based Learning " , thus clarifying the confusion that is common amongst teachers . Most schools practice " Doing a Project '' which is in the form of a scrapbook , a chart , a model and so on . In this activity , parents often get involved in their child's project, and it is usually done after the unit is complete . PBL on the other hand , is a pedagogical practice , which is teacher-directed and encourages collaboration , creative thinking , critical thinking , and communication ( all 21st century skills ) , apart from the entire exercise resulting in content mastery . Let us understand the difference !
