This project records information linked to objects and replays it on a real-world time scale. It doesn’t rely on Unity’s keyframe-based animation system. Instead, it records each object’s data directly, making it flexible for different development and runtime environments. In this demo video, I recorded the shooter’s head position, bullet trajectories, and target movements. In this case, that means recording the positions and rotations of 25 cubes, 1 bullet, and 1 HMD — 27 objects in total. In another experiment, the system also handled 53 data points smoothly (26 hand joints × 2 plus the head). The same technique can also handle various kinds of data, such as color information, and it supports both increasing and decreasing the number of recorded objects. For example, you could record the motion of hand joints and use it to create work activity logs. The recording and replay system still needs some refinement before I release the code. But the app demo shown in this video is ready to try. If you’re interested, just DM me or reply to this post and I’ll share the APK (Android installer). #augmentedreality #mixedreality #virtualreality #metaquest3 #unity #metaquest
