The first proofreading tool is the title capitalization tool. Either type your title in or copy and paste it in and it’ll tell you the correct way to capitalize using different style guides. So if you’re switching between different style guides or you just want to be correct, go here. Next is OneLook. Some people have a preferred dictionary, others don’t. If it’s a strange word, you can verify the more common spelling with this tool. Next is Grammarly. I’ve made a couple of detailed videos before about its pros and cons and why it will never replace a freelance proofreader, but it's a free online tool to help detect errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling. It’s very handy when you’re browsing, sending emails, on social media, as a last-minute checker, to test yourself, or if you’re writing small pieces. The last writing tool is Hemingway. It’s more for writing or if you’re getting into copyediting, but still very useful.
