Learning the proper pipetting procedure could be the most important lab technique to master.
Pipettes can be expensive, but if you are going to work in a lab you should get your own personal set.
#1 reason for errors = Distractions
The top plunger has two stops
1. First stop is the amount of volume stated on the pipette
2. Second stop is extra to help dispense the liquid
Avoid the creation of bubbles as this will cause the volumes to be inaccurate.
