Flanges are a huge part of sheet metal design. They are pieces of your sheet metal design that are typically bent. Flanges can be bent to a wide variety of different angles.
Inside SolidWorks there are 3 different flange positions (options) that a designer can choose from (material inside, material outside, and bend outside). Cody will go over each in this video and explain why we don't typically recommend using the 3rd bend option when designing your sheet metal part.
