This video tutorial describes the deployment scenario of the SSLV appliance, where traffic that passes through the appliance goes to a proxy (or any device that terminates a flow and initiates a new flow on it’s behalf) and the traffic returns to the SSLV appliance on the way to the destination. This is referred to as a “proxy-on-a-stick”.
This is NOT the ability to off-load SSL traffic from the proxy; that feature is planned in a future SSLVA release. In this setup, the SSL decryption is still performed at the proxy.
