The hardest part of this process was filing the right amount out of the hole in the case without going too far. Remove a little at a time with the needle files and regularly check with the USB-C board. A snug fit will fix in place much more securely than a loose one.
Also the wiring of the port is obviously important, and I had to redo it several times. Luckily I didn't do any damage. Check the micro USB pinouts online and make sure you get it right.
