Demonstration of PT2314 audio modules not working with a Raspberry Pi. However replacing the PT2314 chip with the current PT2314E version works fine. This is because the old PT2314 chip has a very weak pull-down on the I2C data line and hence the PI does not see the ACK signal. It then does not send data as there appears to be nothing connected.
