Here is an East Texas oil well being produced by a old twin crank Lufkin pumping unit. The well was originally drilled in the 1930's north of Longview, Texas into the East Texas Woodbine formation.
In 2014, the operator at the time converted the well from pumping unit to submersible pump to increase production rates. We became the new operator a year ago and then converted this well back to pumping unit a couple weeks ago. The oil cut has slightly increased with the lower production rate and total oil production has remained the same.
