PUSHING TINY HOME BOUNDARIES (as always)...
Well.. how big is too big? You tell us! We’re proud to share one of our most innovative homes to date—a custom version of our signature Urban Park Max, thoughtfully reimagined for full family living. This 880 sq ft tiny home (plus a 50 sq ft foyer and multiple lofts) features five bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a layout that prioritizes both functionality and comfort. Designed for a client with two young children, this build shows that tiny living can still provide space, privacy, and flexibility for the entire family. The home is composed of two connected units, joined by a light-filled indoor-outdoor sunroom that serves as the main entrance and creates a seamless flow between the two sides. Our client wanted each family member to have a space to call their own—and of course, we said yes. Inside the main unit, an open-concept living area welcomes you with a tri-fold door and floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to flood the space and creating a cohesive, airy feel. The custom kitchen includes a 4-burner cooktop, refrigerator, butcher block counters, and a multi-use island that functions as both a prep surface and a dining table. We also added in tons of custom cabinetry. The primary bedroom offers ample room for a king-sized bed, a large closet, and a private entrance. Above the bedroom, a loft accessed by Tansu-style stairs provides a flexible space that could serve as an office, additional bedroom, or storage area. The main bathroom features a walk-in shower, flush toilet, custom vanity, and handcrafted tilework for a touch of added detail (in Tru Form fashion). Passing through the sunroom—the central connector between the two units—you’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows and a thoughtful transition into the children’s wing. This second unit includes two spacious bedrooms with built-in closets and personal desk areas. Between the two rooms is a lofted play area, as well as a full bathroom with a full-size soaking tub, flush toilet, custom vanity, and additional storage designed specifically for the kids. This unit also houses a dedicated washer and dryer and their own entrance. Wrapped in tight-knot cedar, this home blends warm natural materials with clean, modern design—offering a practical, efficient, and beautifully crafted space for family life.
