The official Puyo Puyo Timeline, released in January 1999 as the company's game development division neared its end. It was later updated in April of that same year.
Combining elements from Christianity and Japanese Buddhism, it aimed to answer many of the questions left by some of the previous games. Most notably, the identity of the elusive Doppelganger Arle from Madou Monogatari Hachamecha Kimatsushiken, and the truth behind the cryptic post-credits scene in the last game of the series, Madou Monogatari (Saturn).
It also provides the full context necessary to understand how Puyo Wars, Puyo Puyo and Madou Monogatari all connect to each other.
