Python Freelancing – Where to Find English Speaking Clients?
https://dbader.org/python-tricks ► Improve your Python skills, one code snippet at a time You've started your Python programming career as a freelancer, working remotely with clients from all over the world... Or at least, that's your goal. But where do you find clients in English speaking countries like the US and Canada? This week I'm discussing a question I got from Anatoliy as a comment on one of my YouTube videos: "Where can I find long term English speaking clients? Upwork makes me sad..." In this video I'm talking about the challenges of finding work on Upwork as a developer and how you can improve your chances of finding high value clients. To attract the best freelance clients I believe the best strategy is to demonstrate your expertise to the world—show that you have great skills in the area you want to be successful in. If you're thinking about speaking at a Python conference (or any other technical conference or meetup for that matter) check out this article I wrote on the topic: https://dbader.org/blog/how-to-speak-at-a-python-conference I'm also not a native English speaker, and what you need to realize is how important it is to get decent English skills if you want to attract "high-profile" clients to do Python freelance work for. Towards the end of the video I'm also talking about that. I believe understanding the culture of your target market.
