Q3 Shop Update
Q3 2025 Talking Points Just got home from work today! So, a little short on content but, wanted to get this out and let you guys know what the plan is. Videos - We just finished up the desk video before I headed out to work again.. So, that’s all I have for now. What’s Coming? – As usual, I’ll lay out the goal and the plan but, it’s subject to change with the work schedule. Kitchen – This has become “fill in” work because I have a bit of a backlog of client projects. I Pulpit – This one is actually next on the list. Although this one will be used as a pulpit, it’s pretty much same concept for a podium. I’ll get more into this one on the next video. It’s currently late Saturday and my HW dealer is closed on Sunday so, I’ll pick up lumber first thing Monday morning and get this project going. A lot of crazy angles in this one so, it should be fun! Sit/Stand Desks – You see the pile of lumber which is for these desks. Just waiting for the client on this one and it seems to be a bit of a slow process because they had some remodel work to do before proceeding with these. Dust Collection at the Lathe – Mullet’s new 4” stuff P-Tec 8400 - Does this really replace epoxy? Bathroom Vanity – This one is still on the list but, has moved significantly down the list. Other Commissioned Pieces - I’m currently in talks with a few people about some additional commissioned pieces but, won’t go into detail on those projects until I know that they’re a go. Currently, I’ve done some drawings for a couple different pieces and submitted the quotes to those potential clients. Knife Handles – Not sure if this one will make a video or not but, I have a couple of knife handles to make out of Pinion Pine. Not a species I normally work with but, it was a client’s request. Turning – Richard left some green cherry with me so, I hope to do some turning here real soon! Web Site – The new site was officially launched in February and there’s a lot of changes! Plans – If there’s something specific you would like to see plans for, let me know and I’ll look into converting my shop drawings into plans for you. Amazon Affiliate Page – Much easier than the old page and these purchases really help me out! I really appreciate all of you that used my affiliate page to make your normal Amazon purchases! It creates no additional cost for you but, I get a little, and I mean little, referral kickback in the process. So, please check out the new page and let me know how you like it. This is really a great way to support any content creator that has affiliate links without directly sending them money. Shop – While I was gone, I ordered the parts for finally get some better dust collection at the lathe. Most of these parts come from Mullet but, were paid for by me so, I’ll give an honest review once I get things set up. Being gone, there’s just not a lot of change to the shop.
