Quad Cortex Mini (NAMM 2026)
We’re on the NAMM show floor with Neural DSP for a first look at the Quad Cortex Mini #NAMM2026 #NeuralDSP #QuadCortexMini The Quad Cortex Mini is a smaller-footprint version of the flagship Quad Cortex that aims to keep the core experience intact. In this quick walkthrough, Sebastian breaks down what’s different (and what stays the same): the Mini drops to 4 footswitches (vs. 11), includes one expression input (instead of two), and merges the effects loops into a single connector—while still targeting the same modeling/capture workflow players expect from the Quad Cortex platform. A key headline is compatibility. Neural DSP explains that you can download a Quad Cortex cloud backup to the Mini and have it work without compromises, thanks to the shared architecture and control approach. The Mini also leans on the “Pages” system, letting you toggle pages and assign two functions per footswitch, so you can do more with fewer switches. Neural DSP also emphasizes long-term support for the full-size Quad Cortex—and because both units run the same CoreOS, updates and new content releases are intended to land on both the Mini and the original Quad Cortex. If you want the Quad Cortex ecosystem in a compact, gig-friendly form factor, this is one to watch! https://neuraldsp.com/quad-cortex-mini Welcome to Bass Gear Magazine, where we help you to “know your gear!” Since 2008, Bass Gear Magazine has been your source for the most thorough, detailed, and objective reviews of all gear related to bass guitar and double bass, with independent bench testing, live use, interviews with manufacturers and comparisons to competing products.
