Quality over quantity? WHEN and HOW to Focus Bracket. Handheld Focus Bracketing with the Canon R5 - Improve your photography During this video I experiment with the Canon R5 focus bracketing feature in woodland photography. I then edit and focus stack these images in Lightroom and Photoshop to show you the unbeatable difference focus bracketing has on the quality of your photography, it really is a game changer and will improve the quality and detail of your photography. I have found focusing on one point in my Landscape Photography is just not enough when shooting scenes such as Woodlands, if you time the conditions right and wait for a still day you can focus bracket Woodland scenes handheld or with a tripod. I'm doing it handheld with the Canon R5 however some of the other mirrorless cameras will have this feature. I am going back over the basics and learning a lot of new photography techniques. I am doing this to improve my image quality and overall photography knowledge as I have had a break for a while and de-skilled over time. I hope you find some of the tips and tricks I use helpful in your own work. Also thrown in is a bit of foraging, I make a forest tea and a blackberry flapjack with my foraged items. This was the perfect fuel for editing up the image in Photoshop at the end of a long hard day shooting in the forest. Don't forget to practice some mindfulness and respect the locations you visit, forage sustainably and leave no trace. I totally believe Landscape Photography is a give and take relationship, and this reflects on your creative mind and photography.
