In this video, I talk about when two elements of the Pauli group commute and when they anti-commute. Following this I talk about the code where 4 physical qubits are encoded into 2 logical qubits and which can detect both bit-flip errors and phase-flip errors. I also discuss the Shor code using the idea of code concatenation where we embed bit-flip into phase-flip. I present the stabilizers of the Shor code and discuss the syndrome that helps in detecting and correcting the errors.
