Queens : Daenerys & Sansa

Next in my line of character studies: Daenerys Targaryen & Sansa Stark! From early on, Sansa and Dany have been set up as foils of each other. As one rises, the other tends to fall. Sansa is introduced with her head in the clouds and seemingly set up for happiness. Dany is introduced as a timid girl who quickly rises to the occasion. Yet, both characters are on the same trajectory. It just just occurs at different points in the series. They are the "last" of their families tormented by a familial figure (Dany's brother, Sansa's later sister-in-law and nephew--strange how things turns out), unintentionally contribute to the death of a loved one, progress under the guidance of a minor lord/son of a minor lord and a knight, are forced into marriages at a young age, and go on the run from a usurper. I personally wouldn't mind Dany as Queen of the South and Sansa as the Queen in the North for an endgame, even if Dany's clearly got some...icy fish to fry once she reaches Westeros.
