Queensland Crossover Variations
www.winrichwhips.com Here are several cracks that can be added to the Queensland Crossover. Changing lead hands/arms: The arm on the bottom cracking first is the lead arm. Give the following arm an extra swing around to make it the leading arm. Ben Hughes Crossover: Add an extra flick on the opposite side of the body to have a crack that can be put into the extra swing of changing lead arms. Ben's original routine with this crack is called the Tasman Crossover. Half-Kahona: Add a break-away crack in the lead arm of the Queensland Crossover to change the beat and perform the half Kahona. When both arms are doing the breakaway, then the routine is called the Kahona. Tazzy Tornado: I first called this routine the Tasmanian Twist, but that is a different routine by Chris Beck, Australian Champion back in the 90s. Add the Tasmanian Cutback in the lead arm, using it to replace the flick in the pattern to create a routine that smoothly add the Tasmanian cutback to your cracking without having to stop the whips. Singleton Special: A routine by Andrew Thomas, also an Australian Champion. I have older videos that explain the Singleton Special as a single crack. Here it is added to the Queensland Crossover. Wilks's Wonder: A routine by Fiona Wilks, Australian Ladies champion for a number of years. I don't really do this routine justice in this video, but I think you get the basic idea.
