Most LiDAR data contain elevation values that are referenced to sea level or a fixed vertical datum. There are many reasons to want these elevation values to be measured in relative, i.e. Above Ground Level (AGL) heights. For scientists, this means forestry and vegetation analysis that can measure individual trees in entire forests/fields. For the DoD, this means evaluating vertical obstructions and removing canopy to reveal objects/LOC's that were previously obscured. Topics Covered: - AGL calculation. - Display options. - Identifying VO heights. - "Peeling Back" vegetation canopy. - Exporting AGL results.
