We all love those giant fluffy yarns, but joining a new color or ball can present a challenge - you can't just leave a long tail and weave it in later or your work will look thick and lumpy. Grab a regular sewing needle and thread - matching is good but not required because the yarn is so thick! - isolate the core of the yarn on the two cut ends you need to join, and sew with a couple of tack stitches right through the middle. You get a barely invisible join for jumbo yarn.
