This session will cover how to build a simple web application using Streamlit with just some basic Python code (no HTML, CSS, or Javascript required!). Streamlit is an open-source Python framework for building web apps geared towards data science. We'll look specifically at how to build an application that interacts with the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3) database in order to query and visualize environmental impact data of building materials. This demo will be geared towards those with basic Python knowledge who are interested in learning how to quickly spin up web applications and interact with an online database.
