Bulk Storage that uses items to call for boxes full of the same item. I always liked this idea since it is intuitive and allows to see how many boxes of each item you have without needing to browse through a lot of chests, so i gave it a try at building that kind of system.
Even though it uses instant droppers to get the boxes, the sorters still use a water stream, meaning further away sorters will still take longer to be reached, so is recommended to have most used items close to the start of the water stream.
The comparator timers used in this video won't be long enough for a bigger number of slices.
And of course, it should be possible to make all the wiring without dust.
Known Issues:
- If a slice is full, some boxes stay inside droppers that only get activated when the hoppers are locked/unlocked, so if a lot of boxes are requested without enough intervals of hopper locking/unlocking they will keep stuck inside the droppers.
