If your printhead starts to go, don't forgot to also change the wiper rollers and clean the maintenance station at the same time! P.S.- This way you won't have any excess ink and debris on your machine. . . . Transcript: A printer’s worst nightmare: Ink stains, blotting, and smearing, and all because of what? Not replacing all the parts, we need on time. Today, we’ll be talking about InkJet Technology printers such as the RENA and Formax Envelope Printers. Our life expectancy for a printhead cartridge is about 125,000 linear inches of continuous printing. After that, we’ll want to start to think about a replacement. If you start to experience a problem such as an ink valve failure, the first thing you’ll want to do is print a configuration page. A common mistake we see is only replacing the printhead without also replacing and cleaning our other parts that may have excess ink and debris attached to them. Make sure the maintenance station is cleaned and the wiper rollers are replaced. So takeaway from our QuickTip? Replace the printhead, wiper roller, and clean your maintenance station in unison to get your machine back and running with the quality and efficiency you know and love!
