Ramona Sky joined 1700 for a chat about their debut EP as well as their exciting plans for their performance at the Cherry Jam Mini Festival Cherry Jam Mini-Fest is a festival that supports female and Gender diverse musicians, with all the proceeds going to Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD). The lineup includes four bands and four DJs who are ready to rock out on the 24th of November at the Leadbeater Hotel in Richmond. Ramona Sky are a four-piece funk rock outfit from Melbourne, well known for their ecstatic live shows and unique groovy sound. Founded in late 2020 by Chelsea Sharp (Lead Vocals) and Jess Maio (Drums), and since recruiting members Nick Thorne (Guitar) and Giacomo Carbone (Bass), the group has built an astonishing reputation in Melbourne’s live music scene after playing numerous shows and releasing their debut EP. Inspired by a mix of 70’s rock and 90’s funk, Ramona Sky’s presence is made up of powerful lead vocals and bright harmonies, distinct driving bass lines, funky guitar rhythms and punchy in-the-pocket drums.
