The high density of connected devices in 5G generates highly diverse uplink traffic, leading to research in more efficient ways to manage uplink resources. In this context, TeamUp5G discusses several access schemes, namely, random access channel (RACH) and RACH-less schemes. Furthermore, some NOMA grant free schemes are presented.
