This is the first of two videos about random sampling. We use a dataset of 20,000+ cases as a population, then select smaller and smaller random samples. You will learn the skills of randomly selecting data using SPSS, plus gain an understanding of how small a sample can be and still represent its population…as long as it is randomly chosen.
This video includes a classroom application for students to practice the skills of random selection in SPSS and experiment with various sized samples.
