Randy Orton is Untouchable
#wwe #randyorton What more can be said about Randy Orton’s in-ring career that hasn’t already been said? The man is a 14-time world champion, 2-time royal rumble winner, triple crown and grand slam champion among more. Orton is one of the most decorated and recognized wrestlers of our lifetime. His RKO made him an iconic figure in pop culture, thanks to several memes involving the superstar. In August of 2024, news broke of Orton signing a five-year contract extension with the WWE. The extension makes him one of its highest paid performers and guarantees that he will finish out his in-ring career with the company. He has no doubt earned this, as his legacy is one of the most impressive of all time. Nowadays, the legend killer is a responsible 44-year-old man who serves as a mentor to young superstars and a locker room leader. This was not always the case, once upon a time, Randy was an immature young adult who was described by many as a jerk and tough to be around. If you don’t believe me, listen to him say it in his own words. Orton has been brutally honest about his past in recent years while speaking with the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin and various media outlets. The legendary tales of Orton’s backstage antics include anger outbursts, shenanigans at nightclubs, and suspensions. Somehow, Orton has managed to stay untouchable. This is evident due to the fact that Orton was suspended three times by WWE for substance and steroids abuse. However, like WWE’s wellness policy suggests a superstar is to be terminated after their third violation, Orton has remained unscathed. WWE created what many have come to know as the “The Orton Rule” to keep him out of hot water. Orton’s talents, charisma, and star power afforded him with opportunities that many others in professional wrestling are simply not awarded. Today, I will take a look at all of the antics and craziness Randy Orton got away with…including a not-so-well-known detail that may shock some of you. Here’s the article about Randy Orton’s OD being a suicide attempt according to Irvin Muchnick: https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2007/09/wrestling-journalist-claims-randy-orton-attempted-suicide-500704/
