For today’s topic, we are going to talk about “Ratio”. To understand the ratio, let’s take a look at this example first. There are two kids namely Aila and Kyeth. Aila has six candies while Kyeth has 3 candies. Therefore the ratio of candies Aila and Kyeth have is written as six colons 3, this can be read as six is to three. We can also write it as six divided by three. So in this example, we are just basically comparing the candies Aila and Kyeth have. Therefore we can conclude that we use the ratio to make a comparison between two things. Basically, the ratio indicates how many times one number contains another.
