Re Designing a Footstool/Ottoman - Professional Tips and Tutorial

My friend dropped this by and was lamenting how the dog liked to eat its treats off the top of it and how he was causing the buttons to come out. The only stipulation was to keep the decorative nail heads as she had some other objects in the room that were metal or had a brassy colour in them. I have been in the upholstery and interior decorating business for 30 years, as well as teaching these subjects both privately and in colleges.
