Ready to Care – A FARE PSA
FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) has created a public service announcement (PSA) to raise awareness that in a food allergy emergency, what we need is care, access, and options. Not roadblocks. 33 million people in the U.S. live with food allergy, which can cause a type of life-threatening allergic reaction called anaphylaxis. There are still those who don’t have the one thing they need in a moment of crisis—epinephrine, the only medicine that can stop anaphylaxis. New innovations in epinephrine now offer needle-free options. But in some health plans, access to these options remains blocked by pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), even when lives are on the line. Watch FARE’s PSA and share to raise awareness. For more info and to make your voice heard, visit our webpage: https://www.FoodAllergy.org/ReadyToCare
