Side chain compression is an dynamics processing effect usually not found within the modular system. With the Real World Interface and its envelope follower sections, we are given the tools to create "ducking" effects with external instruments, in this case the TR606. In this patch, we created a c.v. bus in the Control Voltage Processor that is comprised of the envelope follower extracted from the 606 mixed with the "ref" output of the Voltage Multistage. This is then sent to the exponential c.v. input of the Amp & Tone. By having a negative amount of envelope follower c.v. and a positive about of the "ref", every time a signal is present from the 606 it effectively "ducks" the ref cv from the Voltage Multistage.
