RealityScan Map Wizard Tutorial | Drone Volume Measurement & 3D Model Workflow

In this video we walk through a real-world volumetric measurement project using RealityScan and the Map Wizard workflow. A biodiesel digester tank experienced a fabric roof rupture and the client needed to know how much material remained inside the tank before repairs could begin. Software used: RealityScan (Epic Games photogrammetry software) Drone used: DJI M4E In this walkthrough we demonstrate: • Drone data collection strategy • Using RealityScan Map Wizard for fast processing • Generating a 2D ortho map and 3D model • Validating scale using known measurements • Defining a measurement plane for volumetric calculations • Understanding cut and fill measurements • Verifying accuracy using a final validation flight Final measurement accuracy came in at approximately 0.7%, well within the proposed accuracy range of 2–5%.
