Enhanced recharge isn't abstract. Retention basins still have water evaporating from the tropical storm several weeks ago. This happens over and over. The only locations in AZ that are in long-term dynamic equilibrium practice induced recharge. Arizona reservoirs lose more than a 1,500,000 acre-feet per year to evaporation. Tucson uses about 100,000 acre-feet per year. Just saw a mosquito give a thumbs-up.
