Spring-fed rivers are common throughout north Florida, and all are blessed with Redbreasted Sunfish— a.k.a. “Redbelly bream.” These rivers also have largemouth and (in some cases) Suwannee bass. The Strike King Mini King is a great lure for all three species. NOTE: I mash down the barb on the hook to make it easier to unhook and release fish; it causes no decrease in landing rate whatsoever. Please release most of your catch, because our wonderful rivers cannot sustain hordes of people filling their coolers. Keep a couple now and then for a camp dinner, and let the rest go. Thanks!
