Redhill FTAC October 2021
This is a recording of the 7th meeting of the Fuel Tank Advisory Committee (FTAC) for the US Navy Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. The meeting focused on the USEPA and HDOH Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) and the associated Statement of Work (SOW) associated with the facility. The AOC and SOW represent an enforceable agreement that specifies areas of operation, maintenance and infrastructure of the facility that need to be evaluated. The FTAC was formed in response to a 27,000 gallon jet fuel release in 2014. The purpose of this committee is to study identified military-owned field constructed underground storage tanks and to inform the Legislature and the public on what improvements have been made and will be made, to prevent future releases and reduce risk to human health and the environment.
