REDOPS is the DHS S&T arm for the response and defeat of IEDs. This means the funding research and the development of technology - at the request of the public safety first responder community - that deals with IEDs, particularly the bomb squads.
RedOps is involved in the state and local bomb squad. There are so many bomb squad leaders who have great ideas and think outside the box. RedOps takes those ideas and works with them to develop technology to the field.
