Reflux
“Reflux” is a hypnotic techno piece built around tension between control and movement. The idea started with a simple low-end, but it quickly turned into a deeper exploration of space, rhythm, and balance. The track blends a modern bass foundation with a subtle acid character — not a classic 303 line, but more like a shifting texture that sits on top and evolves throughout. Most of the groove comes from interaction rather than layers: kick, sub, and bass moving around each other instead of stacking. Small changes, slow movement, and repetition are doing the heavy lifting here. There’s also a bit of imperfection in the sound — especially from the analog elements — and instead of removing it, I leaned into it. It adds character and keeps the track alive. This one is meant to be felt more than followed. Something you can sit in, rather than chase. — Produced and mixed in a home studio Hardware & software blend — If you made it this far, thanks for listening.
