re:fraction – dub techno session 15D

I've always enjoyed incorporating drones into my music. This session combines atmospheric and drone sounds to set the mood. I believe it gives the track a blend of happy and melancholic feelings. I typically select 2 or 3 sounds that I really like and manipulate them in different ways to create several tracks with the same underlying structure. This is the fourth track in my live set, and it's one of my personal favorites from that gig. It's based on almost the same sounds I used in the previous session, so there's a clear resemblance between the two sessions.
