Even in my darkest time, I chose to be resilient. I chose not to embodying a life threatening diagnosis. My mind had to become stronger than the body. I had to reject the persona and journey that is familiar to people that are faced with a diagnosis. Furthermore, I recognized that this was a result of unhealed emotions. My body had been keeping score and it was time to collect. But, I was the one who collected. I gathered myself. Did the emotional work to heal emotionally.
