Remember Skye Sweetnam?

Do you remember Skye Sweetnam? If not, no need to worry. Today, we’ll be talking about this emerging artist who was heavily compared to that of Avril Lavigne, both debuting in the early 2000s with punk-rocker sounds and being dubbed “anti-Britneys”. Skye’s solo career was pretty short lived, putting out only two albums entitled “Noise from the Basement” and “Sound Soldier”. She’d eventually go on to be part of the alternative punk-metal band Sumo Cyco, but we’ll get to that a bit later on. Who was Skye Sweetnam, and why did she pop up just to disappear so suddenly? As a final note, since this was the early 2000s and she didn’t leave a huge mark as Skye, information and tangible resources are rather limited, so keep that in mind.
