In this video I read the first chapter of my new book on Marcuse, entitled Marcuse, Phenomenology and Praxis. The book is not yet out at this time (November 9, 2020) but you can get a sample here. The video contains reminiscences of my time with Marcuse in Paris during the May Events of 1968 and reflections on his remarkable prominence during the period when the New Left flourished.
