Renovating grandpa's workshop stool
In this video I'm going to be renovating a stool that my grandpa used to own & use in his workshop. I've had it for quite some time & I thought it was finally time to make it pretty again! I have never before renovated any furniture so this is my first attempt at that. The paint I used was some (Snow white "International" top lacquer paint) I had left over from my boat renovation project (which I might make a video of some day) & it seams to work great! The finish both looks & feels exactly as I wanted it to, smooth & shiny. For the seat I used black vinyl fabric with the old hay from the previous seat & some old foam rubber that I salvaged from an old sofa (that we used to have at our summer house which I think is visible in my "wooden sawbuck" video, anyways) that we threw away long ago. In the video you could see me paint with a brush, though I wasn't satisfied with the result it gave me. So in the end off camera I used a paint roller insted & that worked so much better! If I'm ever going to paint furniture again i'm going to use a paint roller from the beginning. It's so much easier, faster & the end result looks great! A tip for anyone out there whose as experienced (not so much actually) as me with using paint :P A comment is always appreciated, rate the video so I know what you think & subscribe so you get updated about new videos being released!
