In this video, we'll create the "set_difficulty" function which allows the user to select a different difficulty for the mini-game. We also add some code to the "simon_says" screen which will, together with a function we will create later, allow the buttons to light up according to the currently active pattern. If you feel something is unclear in the video, such as why we are coding something in a certain way, feel free to leave a comment below and I'll see if I can explain it a bit better. »»» Chapters ««« 00:00 - 00:22 Intro + Patreons 00:22 - 06:47 Creating the 'set_difficulties' function 06:47 - 07:53 Correcting earlier code 07:53 - 08:42 Testing the game 08:42 - 09:46 Creating variables for controlling the buttons 09:46 - 13:14 Adding the variables to the 'simon_says' screen 13:14 - 14:40 Creating variables for use in a function 14:40 - 15:04 Ending information »»» Links where you can support me ««« Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/ess_renpy_tutorials itch.io: https://ess-vn-assets.itch.io/ *** About this channel *** Welcome to my channel! I create mini-game tutorials for the Ren'Py visual novel engine for those of you who want to spice up your visual novels with some more advanced game-play mechanics. My tutorials usually mix Ren'Py's own scripting language together with Python, so it's good if you have some knowledge on how to use Python code as well. I don't have a specific upload schedule, but I try to get new videos out regularly. Thank you for watching my videos and I hope they are helpful! #renpy #tutorial #minigame
