John Ioannidis from Stanford University presents a webinar titled, “Reproducibility.”
Abstract
The seminar will discuss what reproducibility means, separating reproducibility of methods, of results, and of inferences. It will provide an overview for empirical data on reproducibility across different scientific disciplines. Finally, it will discuss different methods and practices that have been proposed to improve reproducibility.
Presenter
John P.A. Ioannidis is Professor of Medicine, of Health Research and Policy, and of Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University School of Medicine and Professor of Statistics at Stanford University School of Humanities and Sciences. He is Director of the PhD program in Epidemiology and Clinical Research and Co-director of the Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford (METRICS) and he holds the C.F. Rehnborg Chair in Disease Prevention at Stanford University.
