A foreboding opening from the upper woodwinds sets the scene for "Resistance." Building into an ominous theme from the low brass and horns, this dramatic piece moves to an up-tempo romp led by pulsing low winds and aggressive percussion interjections. Soaring horn lines, complete with dramatic rips, take us back to the opening theme, and the trepidation of an intense and dissonant ending.
