Restored Voice follows a single day in Memphis as community organizer Keedran Franklin leads a citywide voter registration and restoration drive across multiple districts. What begins as an effort to help people navigate the process of restoring their voting rights reveals something deeper—an intentional, grassroots movement built on connection, education, and access.
Through ride-alongs, conversations, and moments on the ground, the film explores how systems can distance people from civic participation—and what it takes to bring them back. Along the way, community leaders working in education, public safety, and economic development come together, turning a single event into something larger: a real-time civics lesson rooted in lived experience.
