Learn how to make this classic retro starburst effect in Illustrator. This will work in all versions of Illustrator from CS5 to CC. It's really simple, you can do it in only a few minutes. This effect is often associated with the hippies movement of the 60's and 70's.
We'll be using the arc/wrap effect and the rotation tool and that's all there is to making the starburst effect. Don't worry about the little kinks in the thumbnail, the way that I do the tutorial removes the possibility of any kinks. Also, make sure to not arc the shape too much, otherwise it will overlap when you rotate the starburst.
